Recalling the past century,
the Chinese Nation has gone through a hundred of
rough and rugged course from being close, out of
date, bullied and humiliated, to doing all to oppose
and to reforming and developing. Lushun Japan-Russia
Prison Site is justly the irrefutable evidence of
one hundred of history. It was built at the beginning
of 1920¡¯s when tsarist Russia was invading and occupying
Dalian, and was used and extended during the period
of Japanese colonial controlling in Dalian. After
the victory of the Whole World Anti-Fascist War
in 1945, the fascist prison that built by two imperialist
states in Chinese territory and that symbolizing
the imperialist colonial control was thoroughly
disintegrated.

After being repaired completely,
the Lushun Japan-Russia Prison Site was opened
to society normally in 1971. In 1998, the State
Department of the People¡¯s Republic of China announced
that the Lushun Japan-Russia Prison Site was regarded
as a national important preservation of cultural
relic. For the thirty years, insisting on the
guild line of ¡°Protect Above, salvage First¡± in
relic, the showroom has been devoting large quantities
of efforts to the protect and maintain the site,
and has invested much funds so that the prison
site could be utilized for ever.
Looking into the new
century, we are full of confidences. The past
not forgotten is a guide for the future. In the
era of peace and development, Lushun Japan-Russia
Prison Site Showroom shall bring into play the
role of education of prison site, build the showroom
into a education base of
Patriotism, Internationalism and World Pacifism.

| Although
during the years when our land was treaded and trampled by Japan
imperialism, persons of ideals and integrity against Japan and
patriotic landsman were conquered yet. Fellows sufferer who
were put in Lushun Prison developed with unbending struggle
in various methods against enemy. |
